Handline Fishing Field Manual Cover

Over the last month I've been working on the Handline Fishing Field Manual, a detailed collection of tutorials and tips for handline fishing. I'm really proud of how it's taking shape, and I think it will help a lot of people learn to master handlining quickly.  

This book will be availalbe as a free PDF download from the website, and physical copies will also be printed and available for sale on our site and at Daggerfish retailers. Since this book is based on the merit badge booklets I remember from my days as a Boy Scout, we're also making embroidered Handline Fishing Field Patches that you can order along with it!

Your contributions wanted

I'm looking for more photos to include, and I'm hoping you can help! If you'd like to contribute a photo of yourself handline fishing, showcasing a fish you caught, and/or a quote about what you love about handlining, please go to daggerfishgear.com/book to send in your submissions. 

If your quote or photo is selected for the book, I'll send you a free copy of the book and the Field Patch once they're finished. We're going to try to get this book printed in advance of the holiday sales season, so please send in your submissions by August 20th (extended from August 17th).

The other big news this month is that we just fulfilled our 10,000th order! Daggerfish has been in business since 2018, and it's been a struggle to grow as we've faced Covid-19, AI's impact on media and advertising, and a bunch of other challenges.  Despite all of that, this is still my full-time job, and that's because of the 10,000 times people like you have said they wanted the products we make.
