We take pride in our work and want our customers to feel confident putting our products to use. That’s why each product we make is guaranteed for the life of its original owner. If your Daggerfish breaks, we will repair it, replace it, or refund it.

DETAILS:

Faults in construction or craftsmanship: If your Daggerfish breaks from regular use as a result of a flaw in its construction, we will repair or replace your Daggerfish, free of charge, with the same model and the same or similar wood variety (depending on availability). The most common type of construction fault is the Daggerfish handle cracking along the grain, which can usually be repaired. To request a repair, replacement, or a refund, click here.

Accidents and Damage: If your Daggerfish is damaged beyond repair from abuse, exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, or impacts (like being dropped or stepped on), we will provide a one time replacement of your Daggerfish with a new product of the same model and the same or similar wood variety (depending on availability) at a 50% discount, or a 25% discount on another product in the Shop.

Wear and Tear: Products made from wood wear naturally over time - wood colors may darken or lighten, products may swell or shrink slightly, or the finish may wear from repeated contact. We hope of our customers will enjoy the natural patina that a handmade product develops over time, but if wear and tear is making your Daggerfish unpleasant to use, we’ll refurbish your Daggerfish, seeking no profit; simply cover the shipping costs. 

Lost items: Our guarantee doesn’t cover lost or stolen hand reels or tackle, but If you lose one of the corks from your Daggerfish, we’ll happily replace it for you.

Wrong Items Shipped/Missing Items: If the items shipped do not match your order, we’ll replace the items with the correct one, free of charge. Note that orders of multiple items may arrive in separate packages; please ensure you’ve received all packages before submitting a request.

Cancellations or Returns for Any Other Reason: Ordered a Basic, but wanted a Deluxe? Chose walnut, but would have preferred maple? Here are the details of the returns we accept: 

Before Shipping: Orders can be cancelled before an order has been shipped, which is typically within 1 business day of ordering but can vary based on item availability. Email us with your order number (or reply to your confirmation email) with “CANCEL ORDER” in the subject line, and we will process a refund request.

After Shipping: Once your order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. However, we can accept returns of unopened products. Once your order arrives, DO NOT open the package. Mark the package “REFUSED – RETURN TO SENDER” and return it to your mail carrier or post office. A refund will be issued upon its arrival back to us. Please email us to let us know you are pursuing this option so we can process your refund properly.

After Use: If you are unsatisfied with your Daggerfish product for any reason, email us and we’ll do everything we can to satisfy you. 

Method of Refund: Refunds are returned to the same form of payment used to purchase. Please allow 7-14 business days for your refund to be processed.
