Trees of both practical and mythological significance, the birch tree is the perfect symbol of autumn. Celebrated by the ancient Celtic people as an archetype of resilience and renewal, birch trees are common in stories of the mystical land of Tír na nÓg, the Celtic otherworld. And from ancient times through today, the papery bark of the birch tree is has helped light the campfires around which people tell stories of heroes, and gods.

As part of the Kairos Release, a limited release of only 5 Autumn Birch Handreels are available, each individually numbered and engraved. 

Each kit comes with 30 yards of 6-lb copolymer fishing line, a lead-free tackle kit, and a wooden hand reel with 3.8 cubic inches of built-in storage space.
