The ancient Norse peoples believed an immense ash tree was the center pillar of creation, with the nine worlds of their mythology connected by its roots and branches. A tree of great importance to the history of humankind, the name "ash" comes from ancient words for "spear," and the wood is still prized today for making tool handles and baseball bats.

As part of the Kairos Release, a limited release of 10 American Ash Handreels are available, each individually numbered and engraved. 

Each kit comes with 30 yards of 6-lb copolymer fishing line, a lead-free tackle kit, and a wooden hand reel with 3.8 cubic inches of built-in storage space.
